Is it just me, or does it seem like kids are being kidnapped and killed a whoooooole lot lately?
Is it just getting all sorts of press because of the semi-recent Amber Alert?
I mean, children are probably kidnapped all the time, but it's not headline news.
I'm not saying it shouldn't be, but it seems to be the equivalent of "THIS JUST IN: SOMEONE DIED."
It's very sad an unfortunate, but...hasn't it been happening since, I don't know, the beginning of time?

I guess I'm glad it's all over the news...every day...
I mean, if I had a missing child, I'd be grateful that cnn.com cared enough to make it its headline, but it's getting rather morbid.
I can't tell if it's just getting more media or if kidnapping is some general growing trend that's signaling the apocalypse.
I have half a mind to kidnap some kid just because it's the new hip and trendy thing to do.

The media is just hyping it more. They can make it look like it's happening more often, just by giving it coverage it did not have before. It's a trick they use whenever real news is slow.

seriously....its kind of like a few years ago when every body and their mother was getting attacked by sharks. Thats all the news stations could cover, but actually there were fewer shark attacks that year than the previous. They are just hyping it up because we are all sick and twisted individuals who delight in the misery and pain of others. well...I am anyway.

yeah, its kind of like a few years ago when everyone and their dog was getting bitten by sharks. All you heard about on the news was how there was a new shark attack each week, but when the stats were summed up there were actually fewer shark attacks that year than in years previous. The media covers what they think our sick and twisted minds want to hear because we are entertained by the pain and misery of others....well I am anyway.

It's not really so bad, it's only the cute white kids they show. Just read a story about a little black girl who was kidnapped and not one news program was interested in covering it. But days later the white kids were all over the news.
